Promoting the body's natural healing processes through therapeutic touch.

The Power of Intentional Touch

Massage therapy is the assessment and hands-on manipulation of the body’s soft tissues—including muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments, and joints. As a clinically oriented healthcare option, it helps ease the discomfort caused by everyday stress, muscular overuse, injury, and many chronic conditions. Massage can not only relieve physical pain but also support emotional well-being by improving mood and reducing tension.

Massage therapy has many benefits including:

Mental and Emotional Health

Massage therapy supports emotional well-being by calming the nervous system and reducing stress hormones. It helps ease anxiety, promote relaxation, and improve sleep. Regular treatments encourage mindfulness and provide grounding and balance that enhance overall emotional health.

Chronic Conditions and Movement Disorders

I support clients with chronic conditions and movement disorders using targeted, comfortable techniques that improve mobility, strength, and overall well-being. Treatments address low back pain, strains, sprains, and restricted range of motion. I have experience working with individuals living with scoliosis, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease.

Specialized Care Across Life Stages

Massage therapy supports all stages of life, from pregnancy to older adulthood. I’m trained to work with children, including those with special needs, and to teach parents safe techniques. Treatments ease discomfort for mothers, aid children’s growth and mobility, and help older adults reduce stiffness and maintain well-being.

Pain and Injury Recovery

Massage therapy can help relieve sore muscles and joints caused by long periods of sitting, restless nights, exercise, or stress. It also supports recovery before and after surgeries such as hip or knee replacements by improving mobility, reducing swelling, and helping clients regain comfort and function more quickly.

About Marilyn

I graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy and have practised as a Massage Therapist since 1999. My work is inspired by my love of restorative movement, fitness, anatomy, self care and breath work.

My approach to bodywork is a blend of deep, specific, and gentle techniques. I focus on restoring balance to the body’s natural posture, movement, and function, whether that means helping athletes recover after training, supporting moms and new parents, supporting kids with cerebral palsy or addressing everyday aches and injuries.

I pride myself on listening to my clients, keeping and open mind, and do my best to understand their goals and concerns. I incorporate assessment into my treatments and enjoy explaining (in simple terms) how the body works so my clients are informed and empowered.

In my spare time, you’ll often find me in the gym, daydreaming about interior design, or ferrying my daughter to hockey.
